Caption: Mike Sherwood (cq) is an interesting character who has been around the Portland beer, food, wine, spirits world a long time. He is now distilling his own vodkas and infusing them with tarragon and saffron, very small batches. His company is called Sub Rosa and has a funky "clandestine" feeling about it, which appealed -- oddly enough-- to the Rosarians, who have asked him to create an "official cocktail" for the Rose Festival.
