BourbonBlog.com‘s Tom Fischer interviews Michael Myers owner of Distillery 291, Colorado Springs, Colorado. We taste his White Dog Rye at 110 proof has some distinct notes of hot tamales, buttered popcorn. Before moving to Colorado, Michael was fashion/beauty photographer who lived in New York and had dreamt of starting his own distillery.

Distillery 291 also produces a Louie’s Colorado Triple Sec and a Fresh Colorado Whiskey at 100 proof. Michael tells us he will likely start aging his white dogs to make a whiskey.
