Kings County Distillery of Brooklyn, New York releases their 2022 allocation of Empire Rye including two expressions of the rye whiskey. Both their perennial 102 proof, 80% rye 20% malt, along with a rare barrel strength rye 6-year-old-whiskey are available at the Brooklyn distillery in the Brooklyn Navy Yard.

Blue Run Spirits makes their second release Blue Run Emerald Rye Whiskey. This is the Blue Run Rye Whiskey to be contract distilled by Blue Run Liquid Advisor Jim Rutledge at Castle & Key Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky, and the first Blue Run Rye to be bottled at barrel proof.

Brothers Osborne partners with WhistlePig Rye Whiskey of Vermont for a new whiskey collaboration and the 2022 release of their PiggyBack Legends Series. John and TJ Osborne selected this limited edition single barrel. Proceeds from the sales of each bottle benefit Rogers Behavioral Health and its foundation, Mission Possible Fund, raising funds to provide free mental health treatment to low-income patients.

Kentucky Peerless launches their Small Batch Double Oak Rye Whiskey. The release will take place at the Peerless Louisville distillery on Friday, November 25 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m ET Peerless originally released their Double Oak Bourbon in 2021. This release marks their first-ever Small Batch Double Oak Rye Whiskey.

Buffalo Trace Distillery of Frankfort, Kentucky releases its full lineup of the 2022 Buffalo Trace Antique Collection (BTAC) this fall, including perennial favorite George T. Stagg that returns. Also for 2022 William Larue Weller Bourbon, Thomas H. Handy Sazerac Rye Whiskey, Sazerac Rye 18-Year-Old Whiskey, and Eagle Rare 17-Year-Old Bourbon. Last year, Buffalo Trace opted not to release its uncut, unfiltered 15-year-old George T. Stagg Bourbon because it did not meet the Distillery’s standards for the Stagg brand.

Kentucky Peerless of Louisville, Kentucky tells BourbonBlog.com the third annual release of its Absinthe Barrel Finished Rye Whiskey. The release will take place at the Peerless Distilling Co. in Louisville, Kentucky. The finish pays homage to the Sazerac cocktail.

Distilled in 1990, and matured in bourbon barrels for 28 years, only 283 bottles have been produced at an ABV 53.7%, it will be $3,499.99 a bottle in November 2022, exclusively in the U.S.
