Blue Grass Trust Tasting
Thursday, December 9th 2010
6:00 – 8:00 PM
Lexington, KY
History buffs and bourbon fans alike can toast to the holidays and the history of Kentucky’s native spirit at a special book launch and bourbon tasting hosted by Four Roses Bourbon and the Blue Grass Trust on Thursday, December 9 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Hunt Morgan House (201 N Mill St).
The book, “Four Roses: The Return of a Whiskey Legend,” follows Four Roses through the rise, disappearance and resurgence of the brand and connects one of the oldest bourbons to the Civil War, early Kentucky Derbies and debutantes, Prohibition, the start of neon advertising in Times Square, and today’s premium bourbon boom.
Al Young, Four Roses Brand Ambassador and author of the book will be on hand to sign copies of the book and mingle with attendees. In addition, historian Michael Veach will be pouring Prohibition-era whiskey to be served to a limited number of guests.
Tickets are $35 per person. Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres will be provided, and copies of the book will be available for purchase. All ticket sales will benefit the Blue Grass Trust as well as a portion of the book sales.
To make reservations and/or purchase tickets, contact Jason Sloan with the Blue Grass Trust at [email protected].
