Filson Society Tasting
Wednesday, December 8th 2010
6:00 – 8:00 PM
Louisville, KY
History buffs and bourbon fans alike can toast to the holidays and the history of Kentucky’s native spirit at a special book launch and bourbon tasting hosted by Four Roses Bourbon and the Filson Historical Society on Wednesday, December 8 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Filson Club (1310 S 3rd Street).
The book, “Four Roses: The Return of a Whiskey Legend,” follows Four Roses through the rise, disappearance and resurgence of the brand and connects one of the oldest bourbons to the Civil War, early Kentucky Derbies and debutantes, Prohibition, the start of neon advertising in Times Square, and today’s premium bourbon boom.
Al Young, Four Roses Brand Ambassador and author of the book will be on hand to sign copies of the book and mingle with attendees. In addition, the Filson Club’s, Michael Veach will be pouring Prohibition-era whiskey to be served to a limited number of guests.
Tickets are $50 per person. Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres will be provided, and copies of the book will be available for purchase and signing by the author. All ticket sales will benefit the Filson as well as a portion of the book sales.
To make reservations and/or purchase tickets, contact Scott Scarboro with the Filson Historical Society at [email protected].
