BourbonBlog.com toasts to the closing 2012 London Olympics Closing Ceremony that included a setlist that director Kim Gavin called an “elegant mashup” of music and creativity!
The ceremony was designed to show that the British Invasion never ended. In case you missed it, the live setlist is listed along with a video of The Spice Girls singing “Wannabe” and “Spice Up Your Life” live at London Stadium during the London Olympics Closing Ceremony 2012.

The Last Olympic Flame
2. oz Ty KU Coconut Nigori
1 oz. Bacardi 151
1 oz. Kahlua
1.5 oz. Heavy Whipping Cream
Instructions:
Dry Shake TY KU and Kahlua and strain into martini glass.Over Bar spoon, pour cream to float on top, (1.5 oz)
Over cream float 1 oz Bacardi 151
Carefully light Barcari 151 with Match
As flame gurns sprinkle some cinnamon onto the flame.
Clap hands over the flame to put it ou.
Give a stir and pour
(Always use extreme caution when using fire in any cocktail)
Rain in London
2 oz. BULLDOG gin
1/2 oz. Creme de Violette Liquer
1/2 oz. Elderflower Liqueur
1/4 oz. fresh lime juice
Chilled champagne or cava
DIRECTIONS
Combine ingredients (save sparkling wine) in a shaker over ice. Shake and strain into a tall glass and top with champagne or cava.
The Victorian Lemonade Recipe
- 1 tablespoon simple syrup
- 1 oz. lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon water
- 2 oz. Bombay Gin
- fresh mint leaves
DIRECTIONS
Crush a few mint leaves in the bottom of an 10-ounce rocks glass, then fill with crushed ice. Add one tablespoon of simple syrup, 1 ounce lemon juice, and one tablespoon of water. Add 2 ounces of Bombay Gin. Stir gently until glass frosts. Garnish with a fresh mint sprig, sip, and enjoy.
