BourbonBlog.com is the first media outlet to report that The Dalmore Single Malt Scotch Whisky and renowned chef Daniel Boulud have partnered to launch the first ever bespoke Single Malt Scotch Whisky created in colloboration with a Michelin Star Chef.
At some point in the future, The Dalmore selected by Daniel Boulud, bottled at 44 proof, will be available exclusively at Daniels restaurants. Richard tells us that The Dalmore selected by Daniel Boulud is a blend of The Dalmore single malts that been been finished in used Muscatel, Madeira, and Port casks .
Daniels says he wanted a slightly masculine, complex, but not overly simple whisky. “Sometimes whisky can be very predictable.” Boulud tells BourbonBlog.com. “What I loved was to be able to take three barrel samples and to have Richard create the assemblage based upon my wish.”
Our media correspondents attended at a VIP event last night at Restaurant Daniel in New York where French chef and restaurateur Daniel Boulud and The Dalmore Master Blender Richard Paterson hosted a 6-course dinner pairing Daniel’s amazing gourmet creations with this new whisky.
This special bottle bears the signature of Daniel Boulud.
In the next few days, we’ll bring you a video segment interview on BourbonBlog.com featuring Richard and Daniel together and an article from our New York Correspondent Matt Capucilli.
