In a world of brown spirits in Kentucky, Hendrick’s Gin has experience when it comes to being recognized in a room full of whiskeys.
Not only was this the case at Taste Of Derby 2013, but this has also been true in the history of Hendrick’s Gin.
Hendrick’s is produced in Scotland, which Mark Stoddard, USA Hendrick’s Gin Ambassador says “is decidedly one of the most un-Gin places in the world where whisky is king.”
Watch BourbonBlog.com‘s video segment above as we learn that much like some Bourbon whiskeys, Hendrick’s Gin is produced in “small batches” of only 450 liters.
Hendrick’s includes curious, yet marvelous, infusions of cucumber, Bulgarian rose and a total of 11 other botanicals.
At Taste of Derby 2013, Hendrick’s Gin featured two Kentucky-themed cocktails and we’re including the recipes below for you to tate.

Tipple Crown Punch
6 parts Hendrick’s Gin
6 parts weakened chamomile tea
3 parts fresh squeezed lemon juice
2 parts Solerno Blood orange Liqueur
1 part Kentucky honey syrup (dissolve equal parts local honey and hot water)
Top with chilled Champagne
Instructions:
Combine ingredients over large ice block in punch bowl.
Top with Champagne and garnish with fresh raspberries, lemon wheels, and cucumber wheels
Kentucky Gallop
2 parts Hendrick’s Gin
1 part apple cider
½ part elderflower cordial
Top with Ginger Beer
Instructions:
Combine ingredients in mixing glass without ginger beer, add ice, and shake vigorously.
Strain into short glass over ice and top with ginger beer. Garnish with apple slice and mint ti
