Knob Creek Smoked Maple Bourbon will be released nationally in September 2013.
BourbonBlog.com is the first media outlet to report these details on the new Knob Creek Smoked Maple as Jim Beam confirms new information.
“The new expression was created in honor of Knob Creek’s founder, Booker Noe, who believed in big flavors. He even ventured outside the rack house to smoke his own meats and craft his own maple syrup.
We’ve brought these passions together in one, super-premium, full flavored expression,” says a spokesperson for Jim Beam.
“Smoked” whiskeys, cocktails and spirits is a growing trend used by many mixologists with a variety of different methods.
We predict Smoked Maple will go beyond the typical “flavored Bourbon” as the Knob Creek family is an award winning collection with medals from San Francisco World Spirits Competition to Denver International Spirits Competition and more. The family currently includes Knob Creek, Knob Creek Rye, and Knob Creek Single Barrel Reserve.
We’ve joined 7th generation Jim Beam master-distiller Fred Noe many times to taste Bourbon in his smoke house in Bardstown, Kentucky.
