Midwest Rum Fest
Creative consortium 750four Productions has partnered with Puerto Rico native Federico Hernandez of The Rum Lab to bring the first ever Midwest Rum Fest to Louisville’s own Kentucky International Convention center on the 6th of December, 2014.

WHEN: Sat. December 6, 2014 – 3:00-8:00 PM, with rum tastings occurring every 15 minutes.

750four Productions has partnered with The Rum Lab in bringing tropical spirit to the Bluegrass. The event will function as both a convention and a celebration, showcasing nearly twenty of the biggest names in rum with tastings and seminars by distillers, brand ambassadors and respected author Ed Hamilton.

The day will be marked by salsa dancing lessons, a Best Piña Colada competition sponsored by Coco Reál with participants from ten of the city’s best beverage programs, and a flairtending competition hosted by former flairtending champion Levi Donaldson, as seen on ESPN.

Rum shotEntertainment for the event will include performances by a steel band, local funk artists the Smoke Shop Kids, and official DJ of the Indiana Pacers, DJZNYCE.

“We’re very excited to have the opportunity to bring the spirit of rum to bourbon country” says Tommy Johns of 750four Productions. “We’ve been certain to invite an array of professionals from the industry in the hopes of helping to forge synergistic relationships between the distinctly influential spheres of rum and American whiskey.”

About The Rum Lab

The Rum Lab is program focused on becoming the Official Rum Expo throughout the northern US States. USA is considered one of the most important countries in the entire rum industry. Before the American Revolution, rum was the most consumed spirit, and now an awakening is occurring.

The team produces Taste of Rum Puerto Rico, the Official National Rum Fest. The event originated on 2009 in Puerto Rico to promote Puerto Rican Rums to tourists. Since then it has become the official Rum Fest of the island and it has attracted thousands of tourists and local attendees.
