Penelope Bourbon tells BourbonBlog.com they have releaed Peneople Cigar Sessions Chapter 1, a new limited edition whiskey crafted to pair with medium-bodied cigars.
This limited-edition blend features a trio of American whiskeys, each selected to complement medium-bodied cigars:
- Straight Bourbon
- 100% American Single Malt
- American Light Whiskey

Built for Cigar Pairing with Experts from Dissident and Stolen Throne
This release marks a true collaboration between the Penelope blending team and two respected names in cigars:
- Cynn Coburn, founder of Dissident Cigars
- Lee Marsh, founder of Stolen Throne Cigars
Together, they helped test over 19 mash bill variations, working closely with Penelope’s team to arrive at a whiskey specifically tailored to medium-bodied cigars. Their cigar expertise helped shape a profile that delivers both richness and structure without overpowering a cigar’s character.
“This is a very unique blend of American whiskeys that came together,” said Danny Polise, Penelope Bourbon founder and master blender. “We explored 19 various mash bills with the cigar blender team trying countless blend combinations. To our surprise, and delight, it was the balance of the American Single Malt together with the American Light Whiskey and the straight bourbon that resulted in a flavor profile that makes it the perfect choice for a cigar pairing.”

Penelope’s Cigar Sessions Joins Line of Premium Limited Releases
Cigar Sessions Chapter 1 becomes part of Penelope’s celebrated Limited Releases lineup, which also includes American Light Whiskey, Toasted Rye, and F*ck Cancer.
These offerings showcase the brand’s commitment to blending innovation and rare barrel selections.
Only a limited run of 7,500 cases will be distributed, making this one of Penelope’s more exclusive releases to date.
