Schlitz Beer

The release marks a nostalgic moment for beer collectors, Milwaukee history lovers, and anyone who remembers when Schlitz was one of the biggest names in American brewing.

The two bobbleheads feature the Schlitz Golden Goddess, one of the brand’s classic advertising figures. One design shows the Golden Goddess sitting atop a world-globe beer tap. The other features her holding up a globe with the Schlitz logo, echoing the vintage bar statues and lamps that helped make the Golden Goddess a recognizable part of mid-century beer culture.

For collectors of breweriana, that detail matters. The Golden Goddess was featured in Schlitz Brewing Company advertising and became especially known through illuminated bar displays from the 1960s and 1970s. Those pieces, often showing a golden-toned woman holding a stained-glass-style globe, remain highly collectible today.

Now, the figure returns in bobblehead form as Schlitz reaches the end of its brewing run.

Schlitz was founded in Milwaukee in 1849 and grew into one of the most important beer brands in American history. The brand became a giant in the brewing world, at one point ranking as America’s largest brewer. Its famous slogan, “the beer that made Milwaukee famous,” helped define not only the brand, but also Milwaukee’s identity as one of America’s great beer cities.

The final batch of Schlitz was brewed on May 23, 2026, as the historic brand wound down production after more than 175 years in American beer. For a name once poured across the country and forever tied to Milwaukee’s brewing identity, the final brew marks more than the end of a beer — it closes a chapter in American beer history.

Each of the new Schlitz Golden Goddess bobbleheads is individually numbered to 2,026. They are being produced exclusively by the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum and are available through the museum’s online store. The bobbleheads are priced at $40 each or $75 for the set of two, plus shipping, with delivery expected later this year.

“We’re excited to unveil these bobbleheads in celebration of the 175-year run of Schlitz beer,” said Phil Sklar, co-founder and CEO of the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum. “The Golden Goddess is a classic symbol of the Schlitz brand, and we think beer fans and collectors will love these limited-edition bobbleheads.”

The new Golden Goddess release follows previous Schlitz-themed bobbleheads from the museum, including a bobblehead of the classic Schlitz logo, first introduced in 1892, and a Joseph Schlitz bobblehead released as part of the Milwaukee Beer Baron collection. While those earlier pieces honored the people and symbols behind Milwaukee brewing history, the new Golden Goddess bobbleheads lean into Schlitz’s mid-century advertising style, vintage tavern displays, and barroom nostalgia.

For Schlitz fans, the bobbleheads are more than novelty items. They are a tribute to a brand that helped shape American beer culture, from Milwaukee taverns and neon-lit bars to national advertising campaigns and refrigerator shelves across the country.

The beer may be taking its final bow, but the Schlitz Golden Goddess is still holding up the world — this time with a little bobble.
