M by Macanudo Myers's Rum Cigar

Macanudo tells BourbonBlog.com they are heading into summer with three new cigars that show different sides of the brand: one smooth and refined, one richer and more robust, and one infused with the unmistakable island character of Myers’s Rum.

Macanudo is expanding its 2026 lineup with three new releases: Macanudo Ecuadorian Shade, Macanudo Sumatra, and M by Macanudo Myers’s Rum. The launches give the brand two new core expressions built around wrapper selection, along with a Jamaica-inspired flavored cigar created in partnership with Myers’s Rum.

Ecuadorian Shade and Sumatra share the same core blend but move in different directions: one smoother and more refined, the other richer and more robust. Myers’s Rum adds a separate flavor-forward release to the M by Macanudo lineup, tying the cigar brand’s Jamaican roots to one of rum’s most recognizable names.

And yes, we’ve tried it at BourbonBlog.com, and it pairs beautifully with a pour of Myers’s Rum!

Macanudo Ecuadorian Shade

Macanudo Ecuadorian Shade is the smoother, more refined side of the new core releases. Built around a silky Ecuadorian Shade wrapper, the cigar is designed to deliver the approachable consistency Macanudo is known for, while giving smokers a new expression of the brand’s classic profile.

Macanudo says the cigar is crafted to better match the smoking moment, offering a gentler profile for those looking for smoothness, balance, and refinement.

Macanudo Sumatra takes the same core blend in a deeper, richer direction. Where Ecuadorian Shade leans smooth and refined, Sumatra brings more body, depth, and character through its Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper.

Macanudo describes the cigar as a more robust expression, giving smokers another way to experience the brand without leaving its smooth and approachable foundation behind.

M by Macanudo Myers’s Rum brings a spirtd flavor to the table: the taste of Jamaica through one of rum’s most recognizable names.

The cigar is made in a historic partnership with Myers’s Rum and connects the shared Jamaican heritage of both brands. Macanudo’s early cigars were crafted in Kingston, Jamaica, while Myers’s Rum built its legacy around the island’s rum-making tradition. That gives this release more than just a flavor angle — it gives it a story rooted in place.
