It seems that Ole Smoky is entering the aged whiskey category as they will soon release Ole Smoky Charred Moonshine. They tell us will initially be available at Ole Smoky Moonshine Distillery starting March 22nd.
More details are coming about this whiskey which has been aged in a barrel and is being bottled (or jarred) at 105 proof.
BourbonBlog.com‘s Tom Fischer tried a sample of Charred with Master Distiller Justin King while visiting the Ole Smoky Moonshine Distillery in Gatlinburg last summer.
At the time, it was a work in progress and we were impressed.
