Chocolate Mint Julep Cookie
2 sticks butter, softened
2 cups light brown sugar
2 eggs
3 cups all purpose flour (we prefer White Lilly Flour; it’s a soft winter wheat – like the soft red wheat used in making Maker’s Mark Bourbon)
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup finely ground oats
2 cups Andes Mint Chocolate Candy pieces

Bourbon Fudge Topping
2 cups melted chocolate chips (milk chocolate or semisweet, whichever you prefer)
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1/4 to 1/2 cup Maker’s Mark Bourbon

Preheat conventional oven to 350 degrees or convection oven to 325 degrees. Cream butter, sugar and eggs until smooth. In a separate bowl, mix flour, oats, baking soda, salt and mint chocolate candy pieces. Gradually add to butter mixture until incorporated. Scoop out with a two ounce scoop and place 2 inches apart on baking sheet. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes in conventional oven, 10 minutes in convection oven. Allow to cool and add bourbon fudge topping.

Melt chocolate in double boiler, remove from stove. Add sweetened condensed milk and bourbon and mix until incorporated. Top cooled cookies with warm fudge and enjoy. is on The Kentucky Bourbon Trail today as we visit Maker’s Mark Distillery for a special tour by Maker’s Mark Master Distiller Kevin Smith.   For information on planning your Kentucky Bourbon Trail tours, visit this site. First up, this is a really informative article! I’ve got a big question nagging me, I really love the theme of your site and tried to download the same design on my WP blog. Yet, there is some kind of weird coding error in the sidebar. Do you have any hints, which settings are you using? Please PM me on Twitter @FitnessHealthGuide or per e-mail.

hi! It reminds me a joke i’ve heard yesterday. As the moral is closely the same! =) A dude in his forties bought a brand-new Audi and had been out on the interstate to get a great night ride. The top was initially down, the wind was swaying through what was left of his curly hair and he chose to open her way up. As the needle jumped as much as ninety mph, he eventually noticed flashing red and blue lights behind him. “There’s not a way they may catch that auto!,” he thought to himself and opened her up more. A needle come to 90, 100…. Then the reality of the problem hit him. “What a heck am I doing?” he thought and pulled over. The cop arrived up to him, required his license without a phrase and examined it as well as the car. “It’s happen to be a long day, this is the end of my shift and it’s Friday the 13th. I don’t feel like additional paperwork, so in case you are able to provide me an reason for your driving a car that I have not heard earlier, it is possible to go.” The man thinks about for a second and claims, “Last week my wife ran off with a cop. I was worried you was trying to deliver her back.” “Have a nice weekend,” said the officer.
