As Summer 2012 is in full swing, we’re sharing a few cocktials to start your summer from BourbonBlog.com‘s Chef/Mixologist Stephen Dennison.
The first is a cross between the Vesper and Vodka Gimlet celebrating the Bond Girl. Drink it all summer as you get ready for the release of Skyfall.
We left out the Heineken.
1 oz. Russian Standard Vodka
1 oz. Plymouth Gin
¼ oz/ Simple Syrup
1 Tsp Orange Blossom Water
Juice of 1 Lime
Glass: Cocktail
Place all in shaker. Shake well. Express orange. For a more refined finish, simply double strain through a fine-mesh sieve.
1 oz. Grape Aloe Vera
3 Dashes Regan’s Orange Bitters
Fill with Sparkling wine
The Grape Aloe Vera drink is very popular in Mexico and can be found at Mexican ethnic markets.
2 oz. Bombay Sapphire
½ oz. Pierre Ferrand Dry Curacao
Express Lemon
Stir Bombay and Curacao well in a shaker tin. Express Lemon.
The name for this drink is a tribute to Jacqueline Onassis Kennedy. She charmed the French people during her famous trip to Paris with President John F. Kennedy in 1961. President Kennedy joked, “I am the man who accompanied Jacqueline Kennedy to Paris — and I have enjoyed it!”
